Mixer

A mixer is a nonlinear device. It is often used in applications such as frequency conversion and modulation and demodulation in wireless communication systems. A mixer nonlinearly mixes two or more input signals to generate a new output signal whose frequency is the sum or difference of the input signal frequencies. This nonlinear mixing process introduces the effects of frequency conversion and frequency offset.
